Fall Front Doors

I decided to put scarecrows on my front doors this year instead of some kind of wreath or flower arrangement. It is a pain having double doors because I have to get 2 of whatever I'm going to use on them. I already had the boy scarecrow and I bought the girl one yesterday at Joanns. She was only $4.98 so I thought that was pretty cheap. I sure couldn't make a wreath for that! I have a fake pumpkin and a gourd I will probably add and I might but some mums to plant in a pot or two. So, I probably shouldn't have showed you this until I was finished, but I did anyway! Please excuse the dirty wood around my doors and on the sides. It's amazing all the dirty stuff you need to clean that you notice in pictures!

How adorable! I would not have thought to hang them. They look like a sweet greeting committee! :o)
Thank you for your kind and encouraging words yesterday. You are just so sweet!
I had to tell you...I went to town to drop off some things at the local consignment store. Nothing big, just winter clothes that don't fit anymore ...smile! Well I found a large "red" tin that I have hanging on my living room wall now! I was so excited!! It was $4.99! Little by little! :o)
Have a fabulous day!

I like the 2 scare crows. I have beveled caned glass design now and I do not want a wreath over it anymore. So, now I feel weird not putting anything out. But I still have all my ferns lush and beautiful and impatiens in full bloom.

That looks great! But you know there needs to be a crow somewhere just for fun!!! Love it can't wait to see what else you do.

What dirt? I don't see any dirt! Your scare crows look great. I can't wait to see the rest of it finished. Your house looks like it is beautiful. How about a full shot of the house so we can see?

I love your double doors but I'm sure it is expensive to have two of everything you display.

It bugs me when people have two doors and one wreath. Your scarecrows are very festive. Mimi

Very cute. You could make a baby out of a pumpkin in a little baby bed. They really need a baby.

The scarecrows are such a cute idea! I agree, if you have two doors, if would be a pain to have to buy TWO of everything! Perfect solution! :)

The scarecrows are so cute! The mums and pumpkins would be a great addition, too. Love your harlequin door mat...do you mind sharing where you found it?

Hi,
I have the same dog on my front step and now he is in the garage for the winter :) Your mantle looks very nice! I read your post about the circus and totally agree. It's very sad and I have seen TV specials about the conditions of circus animals :(
Come visit sometime. I enjoy your posts.
