Quick Projects

Here's another 10 cents tray I got at a yard sale. I painted it black, glued on a piece of scrapbook paper, painted the T and glued it on, and glued trim to cover the edges of the paper. I put some magnets on the back so I can hang it on the side of my refrigerator.

I am always looking around my house for ways to add to or change my decor. Last night I took down this metal piece above a picture in my living room and used a pencil to write a T on it and then traced it with my good 'ole Sharpie. It's not perfect looking, but that's O.K. Nothing in my house is perfect, but it's all done with love.

Perfect is highly overrated!

as The Nester says, "it doesn't have to be perfect to be beautiful." Nicely done!

Angie, You are just so smart and creative! I love the "T" you added to your thing-a-ma-jig. One thing can be said for getting older, I don't see the imperfections that much any more so it just looks great to me! The tour of your friend's house was wonderful! Your decorating skills and hers combined are unbeatable.

You are so awesome at the trays!! And I love the "T." I saw your comment at Erin's and we are so similar -- our son is a great and late sleeper too. I get to sleep in till at least 9 most mornings! And I do all my stuff during naps and after bedtime too. It's one of the many things I love about having one child!
Oh, and I stay up way too late too. It's hard for me to leave a project unfinished! ;)

It's amazing how just adding one letter can change the looks of something so much but that really added to it very nicely. Great idea!

Morning Angie...Great ideas....I especially love the initial on that scrollie thing over the picture! I am seeing alot of monogram stuff lately...it looks great! You ask about the effect I used on my pics in the foyer.girl it is free and so easy..I am not that educated on a computer but if i can do it anybody can. I use Photobucket..it is a free download and you just download what pictures you want in it and then you click EDIT and then click Effects..then click MORE...and you will see the one that says FRESCO...click it and you will see the pic change..then just save it in your computer and print it out! That is where you can also make the little slide shows like I have on my sidebar...just play with it..you will love it...also another free download is PICNIK....that is where I do edging on my pics and where you can frame them and write on them and make them look like polariods with a background color...just all sorts of things....I love it....hope this helps girl...thanks for coming by and have a great Friday!
