White Vase

I bought this white vase recently at a yard sale and have it sitting on my kitchen sink ledge. It did have some flowers from my yard in it and now it has some clippings from a fern. I told my husband that I always wanted something to be in it. In other words, "If you see it empty you had better get me some flowers!". I don't think he got the hint 'cause it sat empty for a few days. The interesting thing about this vase was it had chicken wire stuck down in it to serve as a floral frog to hole the stems. I thought that was a great idea and intend to do that to other containers, whether to hold fake or real plants. Happy Thursday to you!!!

Chicken wire! I'm going to try that - what a good idea! Looks pretty! I always use fern fronds too when I run out of flowers! Something I learned from Meredith (Like Merchant Ships).

Well if your hubby doesn't get the hint...go to the grocery store and get them yourself!! Everything we do in the home and for others...we certainly can have some fresh flowers....I am not into waiting anymore!! Although, really my hubby is really good about getting me flowers!

I bet roses would make that pretty vase happy. You know, I have 4 frogs at home, I didn't even know what they were until my MIL told me. One is glass, the others metal.

Love that chicken wire idea and I may also have to "borrow" that idea. I have a few vases from Princess house that actually have the item needed so that all stems are seperate but something I need something to fit in my smaller vases and chicken wire would be perfect!
Thanks for sharing and I hoe hubby surprises you soon with some fresh flowers for that vase.

Hi Angie! What a great idea with chicken wire; I always have trouble getting flowers to stand the way I want!! much better than the floral tape idea across the top of a vase! I always love your posts and your wall arrangement looks beautiful as well. Sincerely, Jeannette

Angie, I'm so glad you stoped by for the rooster party. The green one is my favorite too. I got him at Big Lots about a year ago. I've seen the same form in a yellow too so maybe you can still find one somewhere.

You were one of the first blogs I ever read. I love your style. You've been on my favorites list for a long time but I kind of lost you in the shuffle when I started blogging too. I recently got organized a bit better and found you again! I was tickled to click on the profile and realize who had been by! Have a great weekend!
