Thrifty Finds

I didn't go to any sales this past weekend, but here are a few of my recent yard sale finds.
collage picture frame - $2
silver tray - $1
ceramic pear ($16.99 Steinmart tag on back) - $1
lime green charger plate - $1
2 small trays - $1

I have a TON of stuff I need to paint and transform. Do you? I am always looking for inspiration on what to do with this stuff. I had a wonderful 4th of July weekend and I hope you did too! Happy Monday!

Nice finds...I too have some recent items that I have not yet decided exactly what I want to do. Not all need to be 'changed' but some sprucing up is definetly required for a few. Have fun!

I have more things sitting in the "waiting" pile than in the "finished" pile. Looks like you got some cute things with lots of potential!

Oh yes, I always have way more things to transform than I will ever get to.

You found some great things. Happy Monday!

I guess I just don't hit the sales enough! You always seem to find the cutest stuff. But I've told myself, no more purchases until I finish some other projects! Discipline Ang! (I'm one to talk LOL)Have a great week!

Thanks for the encouragement. I believe I'll get it done today. I like the look of plain scrapbook paper in the panes, so I'm headed to the scrapbook store to find some I like. It's hard to quit something you love, like yard saling and thrifting. I don't do it very much, so it's easy for me to be DISCIPLINED. But I do get these big ideas and buy this stuff for a project, then procrastinate and never get it done. Do you use any of your finds for crafty gifts for Christmas or for friends? I'd be a way to get rid of some of your "stuff." But maybe the question is, do you really want to?

Hey Angie! I just got a few dumpster diving finds for myself. All I had to do was to walk to my mailbox. My next door neighbor was moving out and he cleaned out his whole house. I ended up with three book cases and one "dough table!"
I am still working on the large book case for my laundry room.
