Hope your week is going well! It isn't Spring around here - it feels like Summer! I am enjoying it though, even if it is hot. Today I put this black and white checked pillow on my bench for something different. It is one I made a long time ago. Well, there was really no making to it, just wrapping a pillow with some fabric and pinning it on the back. I traced a fleur de lis stencil and colored it with a red Sharpie. Y'all know I'm all about the CHEAP, QUICK, and EASY!!! I don't have a lot of patience. My son is helping me with that everyday. I also put my chalkboard on top of the refrigerator. It used to hang on the wall, but I took it down a few weeks ago and didn't know where to put it. I kind of like it up there. My mom's birthday was yesterday and my parents and brother and his fiancee came over for supper last night. My mom finally noticed the message at the end of the night. So, that's all I have for y'all today. Have a great afternoon and night!

love the pillow and the chalk board looks amazing on top of the fridge and next to the rooster!
Nobody would ever guess in 10 million years that you pinned that pillow and colored it with a sharpie!!! You are so smart.
What a clever idea Angie! Your pillow looks great! That is a sweet message you wrote for your mom! What a fun evening you all must have had.
Sincerely ~ Tricia Anne
I love that fleur-de-lis!! Never would have known that the pillow wasn't sewn together! :)
Love how you made that pillow - couldn't be any easier than that! Love that you made it even more special with the fleur!

Love the pillow and the chalkboard! Why is it when I tried just safety pinning fabric on my pillows it started falling off that day? Any tips?
Hugs from Eventually Cottage!
I love the "Happy Birthday Mom" that you had on the chalkboard. You're such a wonderful daughter!!
Don't ya just love to write little notes on your kitchen chalk board??? Occasionally we choose a member of the family and the rest of us write little notes to them on the chalk board to read during dinner. It is a great way to congratulate on a great test score, encouragement on a bad day or just to let them know we love and appreciate them! Of course we have count downs to birthdays on our chalkboard to! So many uses....
What a wonderful pillow~

Hi Angie, the pillow looks great! A sharpie? great idea! The chalkboard is cute too! I looked at your yard post and it is really looks really pretty! I'm fixing to go plant some more flowers on the corners of the new patio before all the rain comes in this weekend. Ugggg...enough is enough! Kristen

I have a nice nook in my kitchen with a bench cushion, but never got around to getting pillows. It is black with tiny gold dots. Today, I remembered that you covered your pillow with black check and I said "That's what I'll do!" Yeah, right out loud...Now, i'm off to get fabric-see how you inspired me?
