A Few New Things

Here are some new pillows my mom and I made for my couch. The yellow floral side is a napkin and the red and white checked side is some fabric I already had. I cut the fabric the same size as the napkin and had my mom sew them up. I used some pillow forms I had to fill them. I really need to learn how to use my sewing machine I got several years ago. I bought a set of placemats at Ross the other day and put one of them on my little table in the living room. LOVE the French country floral print on it and on my new pillows! The picture frame on the table (bought at a yard sale) was gold and I spray painted it white, sanded it a little, and added a black and white checked ribbon. Happy Tuesday to you!

Angie, the pillows, the placemat and the picture frame are all perfect. You are smart to have a neutral couch so you can change your pillows whenever you want!

Very cute pillows - very french country! I found a few kitchen towels at TJ Maxx that I've held on to cause I thought they'd make great pillows but have never got around to actually doing it! The picture frame is darling!

What homey touches! I am not that creative. I usually see things for what they are. So I admire people you can see things in a different light. Love the frame!

Adorable pillows!!! You would be very good at sewing and with your eye for design and color, you would do fantastic with creating!!! You can actually put together a number of items with just a straight stitch. That is all I know how to do. :o)
Your runner is pretty, I love the quilted look!

The pillows are so cute....I was shopping one day and saw someone with a basket of different colored napkins. She told me that she made pillows from them....so much cheaper and could change them frequently. I loved this idea.

Your new pillows look great. I have the same print (the red one) on my kitchen chairs. I just love the way the red pops out, and the print looks good on pillows! The placemat is great too! It all works well together!
