Here are some random things I have done around my house the past few days. I am finally getting back in the creative and decorating mood since Christmas is now gone and a new year has begun. I am ready to be inspired!
I put some moss and pears in a new apothecary jar I bought at T.J. Maxx and it sits my kitchen table. LOVE apothecary jars!!!
I bought this HOME piece at Ross and put it in my kitchen sink window.
I hung this platter on my planter chair by my back door and love how I can write different things on it. I wrote on it with a Sharpie and can clean it off with fingernail polish remover.
I hung this rooster tray over my stove. Click here to see the redo if you haven't seen it already.
I absolutely LOVE the different magazines Better Homes and Gardens puts out. My favorite is Creative Home and I just bought the Spring edition. I can't wait to plop down in my chair with some coffee and read it which is what I am going to do as soon as I'm finished with this post.
Have a great Monday everybody!!!

Is that platter just a regular dish? Great idea. Mimi
I love the platter idea too! I'm in the mood now to do some different things around the house this week. Thanks for the ideas!

love all your house fluffing! I love those mags too...but have noticed I have to be careful because BHG will recycle a lot of their pics and you end up with some of the same decor pics from their other mags....have you noticed that?
Very nice, Angie...I have a large apothocary jar that I got at TJ Maxx also...wasn't sure what to put in it since Christmas is over...you've given me an idea! Thank you so much for the inspiration...I have apples that I am going to put in mine...have a great day.
You should be an writer for the Creative home..great pictures and ideas!

All your touches in your home are lovely! Curious - do you sew the different napkins that you have shown on your table?
Enjoy your magazine time! :o)

Oh Happy Day, you have started post your creative projects. I love the chair with the welcome sing on it, also the Home sign. I've got to get one of those. I'm starting to see them everywhere. Now, I know I like it.

So cute Angie. I love the rooster above your stove. That apothecary jar with the fruit is so clever. I love this idea for a kitchen. I need to head over to TJ Maxx and see if they have any in my neck of the woods! Great job as usual!
Your home looks so lovely! I too LOVE apothecary jars and I have some clear/red and pink glass hearts in mine for Valentines Day. I LOVE the platter that you used a sharpie on...I didn't realize you could wipe the marker off...neat! Enjoy your magazine...I am a magazine junkie and get way too many!
That's my favorite magazine too! They always have neat projects. Love the rooster platter you did!

Hi Angie~
I love what you have done~ the tray looks wonderful over the stove, and I love your home sign by your kitchen sink. :) That is a fun magazine to read, too! I like BHG special magazines much better than their regular one~ some of them have such wonderful ideas! Have a fantastic Monday, and enjoy your magazine! :)
Absolutely lovely....the tray is brilliant and the message platter, a wonderful idea.
I love your ideas! The apothecary is gorgeous! I filled a big square vase with lemons, key limes, locally grown oranges and strawberries yesterday! Just brightens up the kitchen! and promotes healthy snacking!!!! Keep up the great work!
As usual, your home is my inspiration. I will have to check out that magazine. Everything looks beautiful.
With every picture, I thought "that's my favorite." I love it all. Thanks

I'm new to your blog and just love it! I'm stopping by every day to see if there is anything new! We moved into a new house recently and I've been in a decorating rut. Your inexpensive projects have gotten my creative juices flowing again!
I think that platter on the chair idea is great!
I just went searching for that magazine and I have only gotten.."it has stopped publication". I am bummed it looks like a great one.
I love that rooster tray. I did go back and look at your post on it, and I'm thinking I may even be able to do that! Thanks. laurie
Hi Angie, I was just browsing around your blog and have come to the conclusion that 'You are the Queen of Creative!' You always come up with the cutest ideas! (You know I still want to steal that rooser in a basket idea & just love those beautiful wrapping papers that you are lining trays with) Thanks for always inspiring me. :) ~ Laurie

I love all your decor, it's so beautiful and has that perfect homemade touch that you just can't buy.
Hi Angie, I want to thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving me a comment about my puppies! I have never been to visit with you before...but I will be back!!! I am liking what I am seeing here! Love that platter hanging on the chair! Very cute! Blessings, Nancy
Alas, I tried to order a subscription today for Creative Home magazine and was told they had "ceased publication!" I was so disappointed!
