I did this very quick and easy project yesterday afternoon and love how it turned out. This picture was hanging in my guest bedroom/office. Nothing wrong with it, just wanted to do something with an A I bought a while back at Hobby Lobby. All I did was take the print and glass out of the frame and taped wrapping paper to the cardboard insert. I spray painted the letter black (it was gold) and hung them both on the wall. By the way, that is the same wall in both pictures. It is so crazy how it can look like a totally different color. I was thinking of distressing the letter or painting some small white polka dots on it. What do you think? I have some black and white plates I am probably going to hang on each side. I'll probably do that this afternoon and show you tomorrow. It feels good to do a project 'cause it seems I haven't done much lately besides decorate for Christmas and then take it down. Ya know?!

I love your initial project,,all your decorating ideas are so inspiring,, I'm on the lookout for some shutters to mimic some of your other ideas too.. I recently did an initial project too but just can't seem to find the right place to put it or what to pair it with.. thanks for sharing with us
I love the A it looks so cute! What a fun (and quick!) project!!
I love this. I have a picture I don't care for in my guest bathroom. I am seriously thinking of doing this! What a great and inexpensive idea for instant art!
Very cool! Love it!!!! I would hold off on the polka dots though. In my opinion, it sort of makes it casual and kid-like. So if it's in a playroom and what not, then I would do it. But I wouldn't put it in my office or formals. Although I do know you love your dots! You do what you want, girl! YOU live in your house, not moi! :)
I love that. I actually just ordered an "H" from Ballard Designs today and I have that same wrapping paper. I fell in love with it and still have a lot! I can't believe how much was on a roll. Very tres chic!!
Also, I just wanted to tell you that I spent about an hour last night perusing your blog and your home is adorable!! You've got great style!
Hugs,
LeAnn:)

Quick and simple...love it.
Looks cute :)
Hi Angie,
Cute project! I think if you are going to add the black plates then the small white polka dots would be a good addition too!
:) Tracey
Very, very cute!
I love that idea and as I'm looking around my office I saw the prefect spot for one. I think I might be able to handle this one. Oh, if I only had a Hobby Lobby near by. You're the pro with crafting and I am not, but, I'm thinking the background is busy and maybe the polka dots might try to compete with it. Just a thought.
Hugs,
Chris
It looks so cute! I would leave the letter like it is and add the plates. I love it!
