Friday Favorites

My favorite things I got for Christmas are a large apothecary jar filled with apples and 3 Nell Hill books by Mary Carol Garrity. I have been wanting these books for awhile and always look at them when I go in the bookstore. She has great ideas about accessorizing and setting up vignettes. I am going to try to incorporate her ideas in my home and rearrange some things to look better. I am in the process of taking down my Christmas stuff so it's pretty messy around my house. It's hard to remember how I had things before. I have been dreading taking it down, but it's fun to get things cleaned off and back in order. Hope y'all have a great weekend!

I love those books, too. I have 2 of them, but I don't have Feather Your Nest. She has such a knack for accessories and display!!

I have those books also and just love them! After looking at the books you realize that every girl needs an apothecary jar or three and cloches...right?

The Entertaining book is supposed to be coming soon. Can't wait!

I love the mirror addition to the table!!

I really like the star! Can you put some fabric (like a red/white toile or paisley) behind it on the backside of the glass to make it show up better and highlight the pattern? I love the addition of the animal print.

I know this is an older post, but I got so excited. After viewing your post & loving your project I checked my local library & they have 2 of the three books - I ordered them in to look at. Thanks for the suggestions!
