I made this initial ornament and plan on making several more to put on this tree in my foyer. All I did was glue scrapbook paper and a letter painted black onto a small piece of wood. The letters come in packs at HL and the wood pieces also come in packs. I think they came from Michaels. Then I glued a piece of ribbon to the back as the hanger. I think it would look better with something else added to it to jazz it up, but I'm not sure what. I'm not good at embellishing things so I'm open to suggestions. Or, maybe it's fine as is. I'm not sure. Well, I'm off to make more ornaments. Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!

We are both such night owls!! I love it. :) This is so cute, I like it just the way it is. I'm off to bed...
I think it looks great the way it is. But a little glitter always helps "spruce" things up when your not quite sure what else to do. At least that's what I always turn to anyways :)
Neat idea...love it!
I love your ideas! I am going to do this and the other ornament you had shown also. I am on the lookout for shutters and old windows too....you definately know how to put it all together. YOur home is so beautiful!!!
Love the ornament, I don't think it needs anything else...looks great next to the red fleur de lis!
I love that! Such a great idea..love that print!

This is precious! It looks beautiful as is - truly, but if you want a variety, you could add some black fringe or ribbon around the outside.
Keep it the way it is-I love it!
Angie I love this idea. it looks great. If you think it needs something maybe glitter or something red maybe! but I like this way.

Hi, Angie, thanks for stopping by to see me this week. I just love your black/white ornament & all the black & white in the post below this one. WE are definitely on the same wavelength.
Love it! Don't think you need to do anything else to it. Thanks for sharing cause I want to make some ornaments this year.
Angie, I so love this!!!! Wow, it is so simple and yet absolutely adorable. You are something else for whipping these things up. Can't wait to see what else you do! Yipppeeee!

What a great idea! I think I'm going to make a few for my tree. I sure do love monograms.
My mom had bought this paint at Walmart called "Fluer di les" (sp??). It's a deep reddy color that she painted a bookcase with. When I saw the name of the paint today, I totally thought of you!!
I love that ornament! What a great idea! I am trying to get all my ornaments done. November is going by too quickly! I think it looks great just the way it is! Have a great day Angie!
I am loving anything with initials right now. I think that's a fabulous idea! Thanks for sharing!
These are super cute and simple--yeah!
This is great! I hope you'll join in on the party on friday!
Too cute! cherry
What a cute ornament idea! Jackie
I love your initial ornament! I think it looks very cute as is, but if you still wanted to add something to it, Michaels has these wonderful adhesive sparkly gems and adhesive ribbon...(I'm so addicted to these!)
But as I said, it also looks wonderful just like it is! :)
GLITTER!!! I love it but maybe some GLITTER! Love your blog.
Great idea! Love it.
It is really cute. If you wanted to add anything else I would add some sort of border. Just to give it more depth.
Hi Angie,
Our family completed a project very similar to this and I posted it today. Thank you for the inspiration! It has been so fun to try new ideas!
Sincerely ~ Tricia Anne
