I saw this picture of a painted pear in the Christmas with Southern Living 2005 book and loved it. So, I thought I'd try to see if I could paint one myself. I think I did o.k. for a total non-artist. I may do another one and make the pear larger and cover more of the canvas like the one in the book. I just love the green color and want to incorporate more of it around my house. Hope y'all had a good weekend! Have a great Monday!

I think that's pretty darn good Angie! It looks like the one in the photo. I love apple green and use it as an accent color in my house (it goes so well with black)!

Well look at you! Great job. I've thought of trying that kind of project before but never have. Way to go.

FANTASTIC! I love it. Great spot for it too.
What a great job Miss Non-Artist - looks fantastic!!
I'm very impressed that you didn't allow your "non-artist" status to keep you from trying this. I, too, am a non-artist, but in the past years have picked up a paintbrush and had a little fun with it only to totally surprise myself. It's a lot about training your eye to see the parts of a picture in order to replicate it. Don't you think?
Not bad at all! Keep up the good work!
Your painting is so fun! I love fruit in the kitchen! I too love to experiment with painting, even though I am also a NON Painter! Looks Great!
