I thought the dry sink in my dining room needed a little something on it so I took a frame I had, stuck a bow on it (black and white ribbon of course), and put a rooster picture from a calendar in it. I have talked before how much I love using calendar prints as artwork. I got the rooster calendar for $1 from Michaels and the Tuscan one for $1.50 from Big Lots. There are great pictures in both of them! I have a drawer full of calendars and love to change out my frames often. So cheap and easy!

As always, your project turned out adorable! (Can one ever have TOO MUCH black & white ribbon?! haha I have so much of it at my house!)
Thanks for the advice on hanging the shutters. For now, I added a pair of tall shutters standing vertically behind a desk in the entryway. I'll just hang pictures/plates/etc. on the shutters instead of making a bunch of holes in the wall. Being a renter right now makes me so mindful of the number of holes I make!
Have a wonderful day!

That is soooo CUTE!!
Thank you for such a great idea! Love it :) Your house is so nice and I love when you share things you've done. YOU are so creative!

I think you must be in the fall decorating mode! I haven't done a thing!
Love the dry sink and the whole arrangement is pretty! I agree, buy those calendars at the end of the season when they're so cheap and you'll always have some inexpensive art on hand when you get the urge to change things up. (everything looks better with a ribbon don't ya think!)

so so cute.
I'm glad to see that you use calendar prints also....I framed some really cute Mary Engelbreit prints and was really pleased with how they looked. I think I will pull out some calendars and get to framing...thanks for the post.
Blessings,
Linda
That' so funny, we must be on the same page because I bought the same rooster calendar and framed 2 of the pictures. Only I painted my frames black. I really like the white frame though.
Thanks for the inspiration.
You have the cutest projects! Love the roosters and will have to look for a calender so I can try this out also.
Oh and the door hangers are too cute.
Wow, Angie. That is an amazing print...really. I LOVE it. Great job.
What a FANTASTIC idea! I love it. I am a huge rooster fan so this is right up my alley. Thanks!
That is a great way to change out artwork. I love the touch of the bow too!
I like to use calendar pictures also and have found them at dollar stores, Big Lots, always at a great price. Love your arrangement on the dry sink. Your new picture looks great!

That is adorable and so smart!
I love this idea and also would make a lovely gift for the person you want to remember on their special days. I will now go and check out my old my pictures packed away in the closet. Thanks for the idea..Sharon K
Very cute! I have been on the look out for calendars since I learned about them on your blog. I have only came across 1 that I liked the pictures in so far. I hope to find some great ones like you find someday!
very cute.
So cute!! I always save calendars just for the pics too!!
I love the vignette!
I love this so much. I already requested my Mom to send me a calendar from back home so I can
display them like this...thanks for the inspiration!
I totally need the Tuscan one for my kitchen! But I'm wondering, when in the new house, if I'll go that route again? Not sure yet.
That is so cute! You have such a knack for making something from ordinary things, and I am always amazed when I see what you do. laurie

Another fabulous find and project!!! Nancy
What a difference. Love the barn star. Mimi
Hey Angie...I'm getting so inspired by all your new projects. I can't wait to get into my new house and start decorating!
Anyway, I was wondering what the name is of the yellow that's in your dining room? I've lived with green and red for so long, I think when I move, I'd like a change. I was thinking a lighter butter yellow in the living room, and a darker yellow (like the one you have) in the kitchen and dining room. Anyway, let me know.
Hi Angie,
I love the framed rooster project, and it looks great! Did you get the rooster calender recently at Michael's? I quickly saw their "French Country" $1 deals, but maybe I need to go back and see if this is there! :) Your dry sink looks so pretty how you arranged everything! :)
