Nothing Creative Going On

I haven't been posting much lately because I feel I have nothing good to show. Do y'all ever feel that way? I haven't been doing anything creative. I have a long list of things I want to do, but just haven't been in the mood to get started on anything. I have also kind of been kind of confused about my decor lately, like sometimes I love it and other times I want to change everything. Maybe it's because I went to a tour of homes and saw the most gorgeous homes! I am talking FABULOUS!!! I don't get jealous, well maybe a little, when I see these houses because they are ones I could never afford and some are too big in my opinion. I actually would rather see normal houses that I can relate to, but it is fun to see how some people live. I saw some beautiful and eclectic decor and got some good ideas. I would have loved to take a ton of pictures, but I don't think you are supposed to so I didn't.

I have had this architectural piece for a long time and finally just got it out and sat it on top of this picture in my living room until I can find a better home for it. I change these frames out with scrapbook paper and calendar prints when I want something different to look at.

I hung a new picture and some plates in my kitchen. I bought the print at Hobby Lobby, already had the frame. I have a good many large frames that I keep up in my attic and then just buy cheap prints to go in them. You can get some good frames, any size, at yard sales and of course spray paint them the color you want. Then get cute prints at HL or Michaels when they're on sale or with a coupon.

Hope y'all have a wonderful Wednesday!!!

Good Morning Angie,
I really like your new picture on the red walls. It looks great. I was curious where you bought your rooster plates from? I can not find red transferware anywhere.
Lately the weather has been so nice and we planted a garden, so I am outdoors constantly. :o) It has been a wee bit quiet at my blog too.
Have a great day.
Sincerely ~ Tricia Anne

Oh, I know exactly how you feel about your decor. Sometimes (and I know this is C.R.A.Z.Y) I take everthing down, move all the furniture to the middle of the room (clean really well) and then reposition everything. It's all the same stuff but fresher.

Your project turned out really cute!

Don't feel pressure about always producing something new or making something happen. That's just not real life. That's my conclusion anyway.

Yes. I go through spells where I feel completely unispired or unmotivated. I like the rooster frame. Is that an old cabinet door? Very cool. And I must say, I loooove the bent spoon hangars on the previous post. Brilliant!

Hi there! I always love your ideas! We live in Las Vegas where there used to be a lot of model homes to check out when buying a new home. Not so much now though with the economy the way it is. But I used to love to go into them, just to get new decorating ideas. I had so much fun doing that. I am with you about the Tour Of Homes--who in the world can afford those homes anyway??? But it's fun sometimes just to check them out. I always love going to Kirkland's or Homegoods to get inspired when I need a change... it's usually inexpensive and they sure have cute stuff. Or I hit some garage sales or go thrifting. Have a great day!

It seems like all of us are kind of in the same mood about blogging right now. Maybe we need to think of some kind of carnival or something to get us all rejuvenated!

Hi Angie!
I frequently feel the same way about my decor too, so you're not alone. Right now I feel like I have way too much stuff and I'd like to empty all my shelves and just clear everything away. Only I don't have anyplace to store these things!

Have you stopped by my blog today? I'm having a give a way - so try to stop by before it ends on Friday.

I have felt the exact same way lately! I felt really motivated around Christmas and early this year, but now that the weather is getting nice, I want to be outside and I'm not so interested in my house. I think it will come back, though!!

I love how you can just change out the scrapbook paper for a totally new look. It's fantastic! Oh and don't worry about not feeling crafty...it will come back!!

Your picture with the plates look so pretty on that wall. I ALWAYS have trouble thinking of something to post, because I'm not at all creative. I think Spring is the time of the year when we all look at our homes and think we might be ready for a change. laurie

Hey there, Angie! I love what you've done!

I see a lot of different decorating styles in bloggland and elsewhere. Many styles that I love the look of. However, I feel that I do know what my decorating style is (even though I don't know what you would call it), and I find that I am naturally drawn to certain things for my home. I feel like changing things around my home all the time when I see something that I love, but I'm never really happy with it.

You've got it goin on with your decorating, keep it up, girl!!!

Angie, I know exactly how you feel. I think it comes with the territory of being a SAHM. We're home alot so that gives us more time to look around at the decor and get bored with it! I'm always trying to get it "just right". HA! Puhlease!!! Your home is just beautiful Angie, that is why I'm always reading your blog - hoping to get more of a glimpse!!! Take care, Kim

'normal houses I can relate too'....That is exactly why I love visiting your blog... Your home is beautiful, and I feel like it is something I can relate to, and get cute ideas for my own home. Keep on sharing whenever you feel like it. I come by often and just look through your archives for ideas. But don't feel pressured to keep it new.

Hi Angie~
I completely understand and relate to what you are saying! The answer is yes to the first question, too! I also know what you mean about loving your home sometimes and then other times wanting to redo it all! Maybe it's normal? :) (I hope anyway!) I love what you've done, though...the frame with three different sections is adorable, and so are the plates and the picture! :) Are you ready for the weekend? I hope it is a really nice one for you! :)

Everyone feels like they have nothing to blog sometimes. Don't feel bad. Love those new harlequin nobs. They really spice up the laundry room. Mimi
