Here is where I put my pie safe in the dining room. The bench that was here is now in the kitchen with my table. At first I thought it would look weird, but I really love the change! I don't want my dining room to be formal looking because I definitely don't have a formal house. So, I have been trying to make it flow with the kitchen and have the same type of look. I told you I have been trying to lighten things up so I changed out my red curtains for these Waverly ones with roses on them. I think the pattern is called Vintage Rose and it is one of my favorites. I have these same curtains in my bedroom. The last picture shows some old plates I have hanging above the window. I just love plates hanging on a wall! I know lots of you do too! Hope y'all are having gorgeous weather like we are here. Enjoy the rest of your day!!!

Your home is so charming and I love the red transferware piece in your pie safe. My kitchen and dining room flow into one another and is not a huge space so I totally understand what you mean about you not wanting it to look formal -- just cozy and comfy for family and friends. Wish the weather here (NY outside of Manhattan) was as nice as yours. We've had days of dreariness and I've about had it. They say it's going to be nice starting tomorrow. I hope so 'cos I need some real "springness" 'round here. Joanne ~~ glamourgirljoanne@yahoo.com
