Christmas in My Living Room Part 1

Here are pictures of some of the Christmas decorations in my living room. I won't bore you with a lot of details, but I do want to mention the box that my tree is sitting in. First I wanted it in an urn, but didn't want to have to go buy one so I told my husband to build a box for it. He thought I wanted it to look like a gift box and I really wanted it to look like a planter box painted white with molding on it. Well, he built me just a plain box and suggested I cover it with fabric. He knows I love me some fabric! So, I bought this red paisley fabric that I had been eyeing for a while at Joanns and we stapled it to the box. I am really happy with how it came out and glad we didn't go with my original plan. So, I have to give my sweet husband credit for the cute tree box. I'll shut up now and let you look at the pictures. Part 2 on Wed.!

Adorable decorations! :-)

In one pic I noticed the little shelf a surround sound speaker sits on close to the ceiling. That is so charming! Mine look horrid! Hubby has them attached to the wall by the back of the speaker and I have this tacky cord going up the corners. This is in my tv room downstairs, not my "mary e" upstairs living room. And the downstairs living room I want redecorated in 2009. Now its all southwestern like. So I might have to steal your speaker idea. :-)

Hi, you will think this is funny. I saw some toile, red, and thought of you....and what about a red toile tablecloth for your dining room, and a centerpiece with some kind of red in it? I think your home is so beautiful and you have started a resurgence of red toile!!! I am lovin' it and looking for it. Have a Merry Christmas!

I love you living room. Your tree is amazing, and I love the star you have on the top of the tree! So cute! You have one of the most beautiful living rooms I have seen. It looks like a magazine cover. I saw your green yard through your window. No snow huh! Looks like you live somewhere warm. We have gotten nine inches of snow this morning. YUCK! Have a great day Angie!

I love the box. I have one too. Only I cover mine up with a tree skirt. But covering it with fabric is brilliant. I like the tree up high you can fit stuff under it better. Your star is cute too. Mimi
