Christmas in My Foyer and Some Awards

This is the first time I have put a tree in my foyer and I have really enjoyed it. I like how you can see it when you walk in the backdoor (look at the last picture) which is the entrance we use and usually when someone comes over they come to the back. I have double front doors which are a pain because you have to have two of anything you want to hang on the outside. Since only one of the doors is used, I decided to use the other side as another space to decorate so that's where the tree is. My husband put the tree in an urn and I decorated it with red fleur de lis and gold ornaments. I made the toile star by gluing some fabric to a wooden star from Michaels. I'm pretty happy with how everything looks in here. I'll post dining room pics tomorrow!

I have 2 more wonderful awards to share with you. Heather at Family Forever (www.mrstuxtattoo.blogspot.com) gave me this award:

Adam and Jessica at www.thepelkeysblog.blogspot.com gave me this award:

Thank you so much for the sweet awards!!!

I wish you lived in my town, so you could help me decorate.

You decorate exactly how I try to get it to look, but my decorating never comes out the way I want it to.

You have an amazing talent.

Love it in the urn!

Thanks for the comment you left on my blog. I love your home too! I must say I saw the urn idea for your tree in the Country Living Magazine (I think) and I was dying! I want to do that so bad but like you I don't have an urn to put my tree in so we have a lame tree stand covered in a green fleece blanket... I am going to be making the Christmas tree skirt from Amy Butler's website after Christmas for next year!
