Christmas in My Dining Room

Here is my dining room all dressed up for Christmas. For those of you who look closely and inspect pictures like I do you will be able to see that I have some painting to do. The bottom part of the wall under the chair rail in the right side of the room is an olive green color. I have got to paint it the same as the top like I did in the rest of the room. I started it a few months ago and never came back to it. I am not very fond of painting. I'm O.K. for a while, but I lose steam quickly and just want it to be finished. I'll get to it probably this weekend. I love my deer on the table that I got at Michaels. He was just right to use as a centerpiece. As you can probably tell from what I've shown so far, I like to use a lot of lights around. They just make everything look pretty and Christmasy. My husband was so cute today. He came home for lunch and was disappointed that I didn't have all the lights turned on. He told me he wants them on when he comes home. Isn't that sweet? He enjoys them as much as I do!

I just love your home! It's so pretty and cheery. And that bench with the post behind it!!! I want them both. I've been thinking of finding some kind of tall post like that to put in the place of a tree.

I have to agree with your hubby, nothing is more soothing than Christmas lights. So cool that he notices and mentioned it.

So beautiful! I too HATE painting. My trim is half painted and I have a million and one touch-ups to do. I really like that you show pix of your whole space and not simply a tiny aspect of the photo. I just love your blog!
