From Rock Star to Toile Star

1. Bought star from The Dollar Tree
2. Cut off the yellow ribbon
3. Spraypainted the whole thing black, I really only had to do the sides
4. Traced around the star on scrapbook paper and cut it out
5. Modpodged the paper onto the star
6. Added another ribbon and hung it
My little project was very quick, easy, and cheap. I went back and bought 3 more stars (that's all they had left) so I could make some more with different scrapbook paper. Kinda cute, huh?!

Very cute idea. Isn't it amazing what you can do with scrapbook/tissue paper? I am preparing for some scrapbook & tissue paper projects myself. Can't wait to share them with everyone. Thanks for sharing your ideas!

Oooh, I love that idea! I saw paper just like that yesterday in Hobby Lobby and loved it. I wanted to buy it but didn't know what in the world I would use it for but you just opened up a whole new world for me. Thanks!!!

How cute!! Will you hang the other stars once they are done, near this star?

Really cute idea. I need to learn to look at things beyond what they are and see them for what they can become. Great project!

Angie.....thanks for the comment on my blog. I will try to take a few more pictures of rooms I haven't featured.....it's hard getting everything clean at the same time! Usually after I clean and rearrange, I grab the camera. You and I definitely have the same taste....can you believe we have the same bunny picture. It moves around my house....now it's back in the great room. Love it. Julia
