O.K., now I will make the big reveal on where the heck my closet is. To those of you who live in a big house with big rooms and big closets this will not be a big deal. I live in a normal size house (a little over 2000 sf). My closet is actually a former bedroom. The previous owners made an opening between the master bathroom and a bedroom. They had someone come in and install all the shelves and rods. So, my closet is large (to me) and I LOOOOOOOOVE IT!!! We have an armoire, a chest of drawers, and another small cabinet in there. Oh, and we also have a dog crate in there which is great for throwing clothes and stuff on. I am so used to this big closet that I don't know what I'll do if I ever have to go back to a small one. This house was originally 4 bedrooms and now it has 3. Like I said, the couple who lived here before us did it. I don't know if I would have had the nerve to. But, I have never had that 4th bedroom so I don't miss it. Everything could go back to the way it originally was, but I can assure you we won't be doing that!
I didn't clean it up for y'all - sorry! I'm sure you found this post to be very informative and exciting!

Every girl's dream. Weel at least mine anyway. Love it as I am sure you do too.
Love it....I kinda did the same thing with mine. Our house plan had a sitting room off our master bedroom. I used it for many years. It would have made a perfect nursery (but I already had my children past the baby years). We had one walk-in closet and I decided I'd like to take the sitting room and make me a closet. I also have a chest, dresser bottom, and my ironing board in there. However, I'm not brave enough to show a picture today!
Yes, very exciting! I love it! How cool to have a window in your closet! :)
Girly! You are so lucky! I love it! Adding a mini chandelier would be so cute! I would love to have that closet! Enjoy it!!!
What a great closet!!! I like the suggestion of adding a chandelier! Oh and an ottoman! :o)
This is a dream for me. We live in a small house by most standards. DH built it while still living at home with his parents. He is so attached to this house. He is a structure guy, not a cosmetic guy. Nor would he let his mom help him in any way. (Oh how I wished he had!)
To save money, he got the smart idea of cutting back on the overall sq footage of the house... yep. I have tiny tiny closets, no cloak closet, the linen closet was removed from the master bath, tub changed to a shower. We do have a walk in in the master br. I am thankful for that. :-)
Don't get me started with what he did with the electrical outlets above the counter tops in the kitchen...
Wow! So glad I came back to see it. That is every couple's dream! Now he doesn't have to have half his clothes in the guest room! Those previous owners definitely had the "vision" or maybe marriage counseling? :)
What a lucky girl you are! I'm jealous. ;)
Our home is 115 years old and I can only DREAM of closet space like that! I am green with envy!!
This is exactly our plan!!!! When our 21 year old daughter moves out "some day." (Not that I am in a hurry. I adore her here.) I want to add rods and shoe racks, a dresser and a big table in the middle of her room with shelves underneath and by doing so turning the whole room into a HUGE closet. I am excited about the idea. I want it all temporary though in case of future resale of the house some day.
