Birdcage Lamp

I made this hanging lamp out of a birdcage my dad found in the trash somewhere. Well, I guess I should say that my husband made it because he's the one who wired it so it would work. I didn't do anything to the birdcage. I left it weathered looking - I didn't want it to look new. I bought a plant hanger, painted it white, and attached it to the wall and hung the lamp from it. I have never put anything in the birdcage, but I could add greenery or a nest. I'll have to look around and see what I can come up with. Have a great day!

I love your lamp! I saw the Junk Market ladies make one like it and I always thought it would be fun to have one. You're so lucky.
And the dumpster drawers look awesome too. Isn't it great to take someone else's trash and with a little work turn it into your treasure.
Have a wonderful weekend!

i have been lurking for a couple days and I so love what you do with toile! I am also so jealous of the desk for $5.00! I don't think, no, I know that I am not that lucky.
The birdcage lamp is also a coveted item. I really want a bird cage. Just haven't found one yet that has been calling my name.
Love to make new friends, espescially one that is so crafty! Please, stop by and say hello!
