$7 Yard Sale Dresser

I got this cute little antique dresser for $7 at a yard sale a few weeks ago. I put in in my bedroom at first and then decided to bring it in the kitchen so I could see and enjoy it more. The bottom part of the hutch that was in this spot is in my laundry room and the top is in the attic. I'm sure you'll be seeing it again some time in the future. My mom said she may want to use it for awhile. The dresser already had this aged green finish so I am leaving it like it is for now. I try to avoid painting if I can 'cause it is a pain! The mirror was gone so I bought this fall fabric today at HL and just hot glued the edges onto a piece of cardboard and stapled it to the back of the frame. I am planning to change out the fabric for Christmas and whenever I want. A very cheap and easy project which is what I love! I am trying to come up with some kind of arrangement over it and on the sides. Not sure if the bunny tray is staying or not. It may go somewhere else. Hope y'all are getting some fabulous fall weather like we are here. Have a great night and a terrific Tuesday!

What a great find! I could so see this in a bedroom as a beautiful, shabby chic dressing table.

Wow - love that fabric picture - quite a transformation...the green looks aged and seems to fit right in with the rest of the area (of what we can see in the picture)

What a great find, Angie! Love the color. Good idea with the fabric; you could even make it into a chalkboard or cork board, and if you do it with inserts, you can make all those things interchangeable.

Wow - the bargain of the year! I love it and the color is just perfect. I am thinking of painting two pieces I have that very color. This helps me to see it - fantastic deal! Linda

Very cute. I wanted to ask you...Where did you get your kitchen/eating area panels. I'm still (after all this time) looking for curtains for my kitchen and the buffalo check on these would look great in my kitchen and not clash with the waverly "country plaid) I have in the living/dining area. tk

O.k. - I'm totally jealous. A beautiful dresser - already green - only 7 dollars - you lucky girl. And how clever of you to add fabric to the missing mirror frame. You'll have it all looking cute - all the time! Great find!

Lovely idea of the fabric in place of the mirror! I am enjoying browsing your blog and admiring your photos; and, I so love yard sale deals, too. :)
