An Adorable Sunroom

I was looking through one of my decorating books (Better Homes and Gardens Before and After Decorating Makeovers) and came across this absolutely adorable sunroom. I have had this book for a long time and I think these few pages were pretty much the whole reason I bought it. I love everything about this space. The mix of all the fabrics is what really makes the room, in my opinion. That red and white checked chair just makes me swoon. The room is so bright and cheerful and I would love to spend time in here. I would say it has a cottage garden feel, but also some French country too. Oh goodness, I am feeling the itch to do a makeover coming over me!!!

I have recently started reading your blog and just love it. I pull out old magazines and books and go through them when I start to get bored with my decor or just want a change for the season.

I think I have that book too! I am going to have to check my book case. I love that room. The red couches, the wonderful French red checked chair, the pillows!

I hope you scratch that itch! I would love to see what you do.

It's very cute and I love that! My living/kitchen spaces are decorated in the red/yellow colors with fabric mixes and such. It seems you and I have very similar tastes. You know what they say..."Great Minds and such". lol!

It's funny to hear you say you are swooning over this room... because that's what WE do when we look at your house!! I like the kitchen chair "toppers" and the plant holder in the picture.

Angie, there is no wonder you love that sun room! It looks EXACTLY like your home, and I could easily picture it as part of your house! The red and yellow are so pretty together, too! And as for a possible makeover, I think that you should go for it! :)

I hope you are having a wonderful week! :)

I love it! Don't suppose you could post the ISBN number so that some of us can scan the online used book folks for it???

Totally adore the buffalo check fabric on the chair and the chair treatments at the cafe table. Pretty, pretty!

I sure would buy the magazine for those pictures. I sort of do that now. I find at least three pages of what I like or want to do, and the magazine goes home with me.

I saw those red checked pillows and wished I knew how to make them. I figure if I stare at them long enough I'll figure it out.
Love your blog as it's so cheery.

Hi, your brown couch and throw pillows look almost like mine, and your color schemes are so much like mine! I just recently added red and white checked pillows, too along with wheat, yellow, and olive green. Love your blog, and I have you on my faves, but this is the first time I've commented.
