My "Springified" Kitchen Window

Here is the window above my kitchen sink all "Springified". I spend A LOT of time in my kitchen so I guess that's why I am always decorating in here and do a lot of posts about this room. Hope you don't mind. Recently my sweet husband added some wood on this window ledge to make a wider shelf and I totally love it 'cause now I can have a lamp and other accessories up there. Before I just had a narrow ledge and it was hard to find things that would sit there and not fall off. I always love new places to add more STUFF! I am looking forward to going to some yard sales this Sat. My mom and I have been missing them! Have a fabulous weekend!

Your "springified" window is very pretty and inspiring! I am soon moving to a new home with wide windowsills throughout the house. My current home has the narrow ones and I have never been able to put anything on them. I have a chicken plate just like the one in the picture.

That is so cute, How did he add a shelf, did he added molding all the way around? It looks really good. Your house is so warm and inviting.

Very pretty, Angie! It looks like it is a nice depth to hold your beautiful decor. I love your apothecary jar with the nest and the little bird sitting next to it.

Ok, not much makes me jealous...but, this window does! My sink is in the island of our kitchen...I'd love it to be facing a window. I have a wall of windows with a long window seat below it. This is very pretty!

I <3 this. My kitchen window looks somewhat similar. It, too, is between cabinets. I need to get my handy husband to look at this picture. I can definitely relate to the small ledge with things falling off.

Love everything! Your jar with the nest looks wonderful! I'm going out today to find some spring things for my jar. I don't decorate with pinks for Easter...I know I just posted the Easter terrarium, but I bought those bunnies for a demonstration I did at a lady's house. They are cute...but I would rather just do spring. Your hubby is so nice to expand the ledge for you to display your beautiful items on! Love the lamp too...that fabric is soooo cute!! You aways have such cute things...Kristen

Angie,
You've definitely inspired me. My kitchen is laid out very similar to yours. It needs to be redone so badly. I love to decorate like you do and love a lot of the same things. You inspired me enough to create my own blog as my house takes shape. Come and visit: http://wendyssocalledcreativelife.blogspot.com/

Angie this really looks pretty for Spring! Love the nest in the jar and all of the fresh green colors.

Very pretty. Love your nest-in-a-jar and that you managed to squeeze not one but two lamps into this little space! Widening the sill was a smart thing to do, too. Happy Friday.

Where, where, where did you get the beautiful bronze apothecary jar? Oh please do tell... :)

I have to tell you Angie that I had a sofa with the same flowery fabric that's at your kitchen window. It looks so nice in your 'spring window'..loving wide that shelf!

I really like the white pitcher full of flowers hanging from the hook. Very different display but very pretty. I'm glad I stopped by today. I've been inspired to do some "Spring Decorating" of my own.

Angie, I love your kitchen and never get tired of seeing pictures. In fact you give me such inspiration to try things different in my house. I love how you group things together. I think you have an exceptional gift for decorating. I never get tired of seeing your pictures...did I say that already? Well I mean it. Love your kitchen! Love your spring touches too. They look great. I have been on the lookout for more topiaries because of you. I love how you incorporate them everywhere. I would squeal with delight if I found a bunny one...I did find a rooster one at Michaels on sale for 7.00...yipeee. Made my day! I thought of you when I got it!
Big Hugs!

Hi Angie,
Your kitchen window area is AMAZING! I love it all! I like how you decorated the whole space, and could never get sick of seeing your kitchen! :) Your new window sill is wonderful! My husband just made our living room ones wider last weekend and I love them! I wanted a wider one in our kitchen, but we got tired and I just put moulding around the window instead...but now you have me thinking we should after all! :)

I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Hi,
I commented recently about how similar our decorating styles are. Today on my blog, I posted the before and afters of my kitchen. Check out my toile curtains in the "after" pictures! I've had them up for a few years now, but when I saw your blog I was stunned at how similar they are. http://becca-homeiswheremystorybegins.blogspot.com/2010/03/i-just-couldnt-embrace-blue.html

Hi Angie,
I just found you through Cathy at "Cobblestone Farms".
I love your blog and have enjoyed reading many of your postings. Your home is beautiful!
I was wondering what color paint did you use for your entry that you show in your March 4th post. It's the photo of what looks to be your entry with a table and mirror above it?. I have been looking for a creamy yellow color paint for my new home.
I have become a follower.
Take care and enjoy your day, Elizabeth~Home is Where the Heart is
