A Few Additions in the Kitchen

Here are a few things I have recently added to my kitchen. I got 2 cute rooster canvases from Bealls and put one here on the countertop. I'm not sure where I'll put the other one. I put my cooking utensils in a gold urn I had. I bought the iron piece (Hobby Lobby) and the little pot of herbs (Michaels) on Sat. and have them over the stove. I am trying to switch out some things to make my home look a little nicer and more sophisticated, but still keep a French country look. That's the look I love, but I don't always achieve it! As for my new front door, it did get installed and I am totally loving all the light it brings into the foyer. I'll show you when I get it all painted which will hopefully be this week. Have a great night and a terrific Tuesday!

I have a similar bunny to yours except mine was on clearance at Home Goods and apparently was holding some utensils at one time {they were missing when I bought it}. I need to find him! I packed him up for Christmas.

Love your little pot of herbs and your lamp, too! Did you get it with the toile shade or do that yourself? I like your home, just so you know, and I enjoy seeing the pictures you share.

Oh, that urn is beautiful. I think all your changes are wonderful and I can't wait to see that front door. I never really thought the issues of the double front door...but when you mentioned them, it makes sense!

love that wrought iron piece over stove. I try the sophisticated thing too. Sometimes i get so confused lol what i want and always go back to the French Country look.. Just love it. And i am not going to change to the all white colorless thing everyone is starting to do , i still need my color.... lol..

I do love the look of a "decorated" kitchen, but mine just turns out looking functional. Yours is beautiful!

My favorite places to look for neat home decor is TJMaxx & Michaels. Like others the closest Hobby Lobby is 2 hrs from us. I love the rooster canvas, you have a warm and comfy home.

Angie, you have such great taste! I love the rooster canvas. The urn is a very sophisticated container for kitchen utensils. Plus I like the black untensils you have. I will have to update the ones I have in my kitchen since yours looks so nice. I know that ironwork is popular but haven't taken the plunge... too ornate for me. Thanks for sharing!
