This is a quick little project I did yesterday while in my kitchen waiting for my chicken to cool off so I could cut it up and put in the chicken pot pie I was making for supper. I cut a styrofoam pear in half with a knife and glued it on some scrapbook paper and put it in a frame. I actually put the paper in the frame first and then glued the pear on the paper (no glass). I am not good at explaining things, but I'm sure you already know that. I love the way it turned out! I was thinking you could even use a bigger frame and more pears or any other fruit of your choice. Lots of possibilities! Let me know if you make one too!

Came over from itssoverycheri- Your pear fram is to die for. I cannot wait to try. Blessings!
I found your blog over the weekend and have become an instant fan. Your yard sale finds and craftiness inspire me! I just broke the glass out of a frame last week, so I think your scrapbook paper/pear frame will be the perfect thing to do with it. Do you have other suggestions on what I could put on on top of the scrapbook paper?
My blog is private, but I can always add readers. Thanks!

My three year old daughter and made a version of this today. I made two (one apple, one pomegranate) and she made one with flowers. We had to spray paint our little wooden frames...which I purchased in 1996 for $1 from Wal-Mart. :D
Thank you!
-Karen
so awesome - you are just terrific - how did you paint the single bed - was it spray painted black? did you prime it first?

Love this. Love love love. So I set out today to Michael's to put my own spin on it. Everything was great until I figured out that each piece of fake fruit has a little plug of concrete in it to give it weight. OOPS! Sorry, favorite bread knife.
The pear is useful in weight loss diets, including food, fiber maintains its fullness and cleanses the body, also have many vitamin and potassium. SO the pear is one of the fruits with more properties and is very easy to find it. Just go at supermarket and you will have varieties to shoose from.
