A Spring Vignette and a Few Questions Answered

Here is a little Spring vignette in my dining room. I have been working on something for my dining room table, but can't seem to get it the way I want it to look. Some of you out there are so good at tablescaping and centerpieces, but I always have trouble with that.

Thank you for your sweet comments about my little side yard. It is an area outside my kitchen windows. I'll show the rest of my yard another time. Several of you asked about hanging pieces on brick. My husband has a special drill bit he uses and he does it into the mortar area. I know it's not easy because he doesn't jump for joy when I tell him I have something I want to hang outside on the brick. It takes some arm strength, but it can be done.

D (no blog) asked where I got my Bouquets of Happiness bunny plate in my kitchen and redpolkadot (don't know how to leave her a comment) asked about my French veterinarian/dog picture in my living room. They both came from my favorite store, Hobby Lobby. I don't know what's wrong with me, but it has been at least 2 weeks since I have been there. I may have to go today since I'm sure all the employees are worried about me. Have a great day everybody!

Angie, that's so cute! I haven't bought anything (not even fabric) at Hobby Lobby in a few weeks!! I think they used to change their inventory more frequently and now it's the same stuff. I wasn't even excited about an Easter things last time I was their, same for TJ Maxx!

I love this little spring vignette. The only thing I would add would be some crocheted or cloth piece on the table. I enjoy looking at your blog!

Hey Angie,

I've wondered about that beautiful print with the dogs too! We don't have Hobby Lobby where I live but I'll keep my eyes out for it anyway!

Your side yard is beautiful, btw. :)

We don't have Hobby Lobby's here in CA and boy does it bum me out. I have to hit up the ones in AZ and CO when I visit. On second thought, maybe that's a good thing!? I'd be there every week!

Visiting from Manuela's blog... I found you in the comments just a few above mine. Your red plate featured with the bunny is the same print on my living room curtains and couch! Too funny... I love red.

Hi Angie....we don't refer to decorating spots as "vignette's" in Australia, so I checked the meaning of the word in a dictionary. It says; vignette: "small illustrations at the beginning or end of a book or chapter".
Now I see....your Spring Vignette is giving a small illustation of the upcoming season...what a great idea! I love everything in it except the large glass jar...think I would put the gorgeous apples in a different container.
Must have a go at this...we are heading for Winter...wonder what type of "vignette" I could create!
Kind Regards
judith
