Yard Sale Lamps
I bought this pair of lamps for $5 last Sat. at a yard sale. I really like the shape and size of them. I like the barrel shape of the shades too, but they are just too big so I found some shades at Target and covered them in some fabric from Joanns. Originally I was going to paint the lamps and then decided that I like the white and the wheat motif and am going to leave them the way they are. I am really liking how interesting vintage lamps are and am going to be on the lookout for more of them. I love them on this piece in my living room and am enjoying the extra light they give to this area of the room. There are lots of yard sales tomorrow and I am looking forward to finding more treasures...like I need more stuff! Have a wonderful weekend!

Your lamps turned out great! The other shades were WAY too large and took away from the wheat design!! Love the fabric you chose! I just did this with burlap and love how they turned out!
Those turned out SO beautifully, I think the wheat pattern is PERFECT for a french country room!
I love how you made over these lamps. They remind me of the wheat dishes that were popular many years ago. I think you got them from detergent. The new shades are the perfect touch!
