Birdcage Lamp
I went to a few antique stores recently and was so excited to find this birdcage stand for $20. I thought that was a pretty good price since I have seen them for way more than that. I intended to hang a chandelier from it, but then remembered the birdcage lamp my husband made. It used to be in my living room and got put up in the attic when I changed some things around. I got it down and hung it on the stand and am so happy with this cute new addition to my kitchen. I have got to get hubby to disguise the cord that hangs down. Cords are such a pain, aren't they? I usually turn the lamp on around suppertime and leave it on until I go to bed. I love seeing it on when the rest of the kitchen is dark. I know y'all understand little things like lamps that make you happy. Wishing you a wonderful Wed.!

Believe me I understand. My hubby is always wondering why I have so many lamps on. I really enjoy having that cheerful glow coming from a corner. :)

That is so cute. I can't believe you had put it up. I turn on lamps as soon as it starts getting darker in the house. I love lamps. In fact a little obsessed is more like it.

I LOVE it! I am also glad to hear that other people are as obsessed with lamps as I am! I am looking for a really cool (real) birdcage for a pair of lovebirds. All the cool ones I see are decorative and I hate the plastic pet store ones. Love your home! ~Amy

I have little lamps that stay on in our kitchen and dining room until bed too. My Hubby thinks I'm insane, but the glow they spread is so homey.
From one lamp lover to another: soooooo cute! I love the glow of the walls with this little light on! (have you tried a fabric cover to disguise the cord?)
Cute! I have one of those stands with a birdcage hanging in it and I put candles in the cage. Love your light!!

I love the little birdcage lamp. Trust me, I come home and my husband has on all the bright overhead lights and I turn them off and turn on all the lamps. Why is this??? Why do they like the bright light and we like the soft glow???
